  • 1-2 tablespoon shredded coconut (for added flavor)

Vegan milkshake without ice cream
  • 1 cup coconut milk (full-fat for creaminess)
  • 1 frozen banana (for a creamy texture and natural sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup coconut water (for a light consistency)
  • 1-2 table spoons shredded coconut (for flavor and texture)
  • 1-2 tea spoon maple syrup or agave nectar (optional for sweetness)
  • 1/2 tea spoon vanilla extract (optional for added flavor)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for extra chill)

Method

  1. Organize all your ingredients (coconut milk, vanilla ice cream, coconut water, shredded coconut, sweetener (if using), and ice cubes).
  2. Add the key ingredients that make the base of the coconut milkshake to the blender.
  3. Blend all the base ingredients slowly until you achieve your desired consistency until it's thick and creamy. If your coconut milkshake is thicker than the consistency, you can add a little more coconut water and milk
  4. You can add ice as per your desire; however, adding ice makes the coconut milkshake frothy and chilled. Blend the ice after adding a handful in the mixture and blend so it can be brushed and mixed in properly.
  5. Once you have blended the ice, taste your mixture. One thing that I love about shakes is that they are adaptable and can be adjusted. You can still adjust the shake to your liking; if you want it to be sweeter, just add more honey or sugar and blend again.
  6. Once you have adjusted the shake to your liking, pour it into a glass. You can add whipped cream, canned coconut flakes, or a drizzle of chocolate or caramel for a topping, and your best simple and easy coconut shake recipe is now ready.
