Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe mango (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 cup chilled milk (whole milk for a creamier texture)
  • 1 table spoon sugar or honey (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 2-3 scoops vanilla ice cream (optional, for a richer shake)
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Mango slices or mint leaves for garnish
Recipe for a low-fat mango milkshake
  • 1 large ripe mango (chopped)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond or oat milk
  • 1 frozen banana (for creaminess)
  • 1 tea spoon vanilla extract
  • 1-2 dates (optional, for natural sweetness)
  • Ice cubes (optional to lighten texture)

Method

  1. Make sure you choose a soft, flavorful, ripe mango once you have chosen a mango for your milkshake. Remove the seed after peeling it and chop it into small pieces.
  2. Put the chopped mango pieces into a blender and blend until you achieve a puree-like smooth mixture. Make sure there are no lumps in the mix.
  3. Once you have obtained a smooth mixture with no lumps, add milk and rich sweetener or sugar, and adjust the sweetness of the shake to your liking.
  4. This step is optional. however, you can add 2 to 3 cups of vanilla ice cream to the mixture to give it a creamy, smooth texture and blend it to mix it well.
  5. The best thing about milkshakes is you can adjust their consistency based on your liking anytime. If your milkshake is too thick, you can adjust its consistency by adding more, and if you want it to be chilled, you can add ice cubes and blend.
  6. Your mango milkshake is ready; you can pour it into a glass and serve it. You can top it with either mango slices, mint leaves, or even a scoop of ice cream, and you are good to go.

Notes

Mango milkshake is a perfect refreshing drink for hot summer days, combining ripe mangoes with milk for a creamy, delicious treat. The recipe is simple and adaptable, allowing variations such as mango-strawberry or mango-banana shakes. You can also try making a mango condensed milk smoothie for a richer, sweeter version by adding condensed milk. To prepare, blend ripe mango pieces with chilled milk, sugar or honey, and vanilla ice cream for extra creaminess. If you're looking for a unique twist, you can try using mango milkshake powder for a quick and flavorful alternative. You can adjust the consistency by adding more milk or ice cubes, and garnish with mango slices or mint leaves. The milkshake can be made vegan by using plant-based milk and vegan ice cream, and thickened with frozen mangoes or yogurt. For a low-fat version, substitute with almond milk and skip the ice cream. If you're in the mood for something more adventurous, try a mango milkshake beer for a fusion of flavors. Whether you enjoy it thick or light, the mango milkshake is a delightful treat that can be customized to suit any taste.
